Open Studio

Brooklyn Ballet invites you to take a behind-the-scenes look at Elevate, our flagship public school residency program. Come see Elevate Education Director Catherine Green and our talented instructors demonstrate dance pedagogy with the Language of Dance system.  Dancers will perform sections from "La Folia," an original work of choreography by Artistic Director Lynn Parkerson that draws parallels between Baroque dance and contemporary ballet.  This material is used in a lecture-demonstration on the history of ballet that is presented as part of the Elevate residency each year.
