Brooklyn Ballet’s adventurous spring season Night / Life brings bold new choreography and unexpected movement dialogues to the stage. The program features world premieres by Shannon Harkins and William Ervin, a work-in-process by Artistic Director Lynn Parkerson exploring the intersection of ballet and krump, and Chopin Dances—a striking juxtaposition of Isadora Duncan’s expressive lyricism and Michel Fokine’s classical refinement.
With a diverse company of dancers blending ballet, contemporary dance, and street styles, Night / Life reimagines the possibilities of ballet today.
Brooklyn Ballet's spring season is supported, in part, by public funds from The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, as well as generous individuals across New York City.
