Emma Blakley

Emma Blakley is a dancer and writer from Wichita, Kansas.

Emma trained pre-professionally with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre during which she performed in the company’s production of The Nutcracker. Her summer studies have included Houston Ballet and the Oklahoma International Dance Festival.

Last spring, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy and a minor in Professional Writing. While at the university, she performed soloist and corps roles in a range of classical, contemporary, and modern works.

Along with studying dance, she served as head culture editor of the university’s independent newspaper, the OU Daily. Emma moved to New York City in June, and is thrilled to be joining Brooklyn Ballet for The Nutcracker this year.
