Our repertory, guided by Artistic Director Lynn Parkerson, reflects a multi-disciplinary and multicultural approach to ballet, and our dances are created through collaborations with dancers, musicians, writers, designers, hackers, visual artists, and our Brooklyn neighbors. Opening our ballets to interdisciplinary influences helps us extend the form in unique directions, while remaining rooted in the classical idiom.

From reimagined classics like The Brooklyn Nutcracker to original contemporary works, each performance honors tradition while fearlessly reimagining what ballet can be.

Workshops
Brooklyn Ballet Incubator is an immersive, playground-style workshop series.
Incubator invites emerging and diverse choreographers to create with Brooklyn Ballet artists and professional dancers in an inclusive, collaborative environment. The process-focused, workshops emphasize cross-disciplinary collaboration, giving participants the opportunity to play, learn and grow through creative exploration, and repertoire development. Ballet, modern, contemporary, and street dancers are all encouraged to participate, and choreographers who take part are considered for future collaborations and commissioned work for Brooklyn Ballet's performance seasons.
Auditions
Each season Brooklyn Ballet holds auditions for Ballet and Street Dancers.
