Whether you're returning to ballet after time away or maintaining your year-round practice, our 75-minute classes focus on classical technique, traditional French terminology, and established pedagogy.
Brooklyn Ballet's Adult Summer classes offer evening sessions to accommodate all schedules with expert instruction from esteemed faculty at advanced beginner and intermediate levels.

ADULT BALLET SUMMER INTENSIVE
Take your dance training to the next level by immersing yourself in the beauty and artistry of classical ballet within an inclusive and supportive environment.
Join Brooklyn Ballet’s Adult Ballet Summer Intensive - a fun and inspiring 3-day workshop for beginner to advanced beginner dancers (ages 18+). The intensive includes daily classes in Ballet, Pre-Pointe, Stretch and Strength, Ballet Variations, and Ballet History & Lecture Demonstration. The intensive culminates in an informal, in-studio student showcase for friends and family. Dancers are encouraged, but not required, to perform.

Adult Ballet Fundamental (Absolute Beginner/Beginner)
Adult Ballet Fundamental introduces a traditional ballet class structure for Adult Ballet Fundamental (Absolute Beginner/Beginner)
Adult Ballet Fundamental introduces a traditional ballet class structure for absolute beginner and beginner students. Students learn fundamental ballet technique through barre work, center exercises, and across the floor combinations designed to improve coordination, flexibility, endurance, and musicality.
This level is for absolute beginner and beginner students who have no prior experience or students who want to start from the fundamental beginnings of classical ballet. Most students take Adult Ballet Fundamental for two (2) consecutive semesters before joining Adult Ballet.

Adult Ballet (Beginner/Advanced Beginner)
Adult Ballet builds upon the skills learned in Adult Ballet Fundamental. The class is comprised of intermediate to advanced barre work, center exercises, and across the floor combinations emphasizing overall strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance, and musicality.
This class is for advanced beginner and intermediate students with prior experience as an adult or teenager.

Adult Neo Classical Ballet (Intermediate/Advanced)
Adult Neo Classical Ballet is a fast-paced, Balanchine-inspired class taught by Eric Holzworth, former New York City Ballet Company Member. Accompanied by orchestral music, the class quickly progresses through challenging barre work, center combinations, and across the floor exercises emphasizing the speed, precision, musicality, and beauty of George Balanchine's iconic ballet technique. The class is recommended for advanced students and professional dancers.75 minutes beginner and beginner students. Students learn fundamental ballet technique through barre work, center exercises, and across the floor combinations designed to improve coordination, flexibility, endurance, and musicality.
