Keith Justin Reeves

Keith Justin Reeves is a professional dancer, choreographer, educator, creative director, and photographer from Augusta, Georgia.

He began his training at the Jessye Norman School of the Arts and continued at Colton Ballet School and the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education, where he received the Audrey B. Morgan Scholarship. He later attended programs at The Joffrey Ballet School and The School at Jacob’s Pillow.

Reeves danced with Atlanta Ballet (2015–2021), Complexions Contemporary Ballet (2022–2023), and the Metropolitan Opera (2023–2024). His repertoire includes work by George Balanchine, Jiří Kylián, Mark Morris, William Forsythe, Dwight Rhoden, Alexander Ekman, Yuri Possokhov, Ohad Naharin, and other leading choreographers. He has also appeared as a guest artist with Terpsicorps Ballet Company, Ballet Pensacola, Atlanta Opera, New York State Ballet, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet.

As an educator and choreographer, Reeves has taught and created work for Atlanta Ballet and Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education, Neighborhood Ballet, Jessye Norman School of the Arts, New York State Ballet, and other dance companies. His teaching emphasizes strong technique, artistry, musicality, individuality, and professional preparation.

Expanding beyond performance, Reeves has worked in creative direction and photography, including creative direction and photography for Capezio. He also served as Creative Director of Bodies in Motion ATL, an outdoor performance project created during the COVID-19 pandemic that combined live dance, outdoor projection, and visual art while maintaining safety protocols. He served on Atlanta Ballet’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Board, contributing to initiatives focused on representation and inclusion in the arts.

His additional credits include InStyle’s “Atlanta Trailblazers,” the television series Step Up and Étoile, Claudia Schreier’s Force of Habit for Guggenheim Works & Process WPA, and a residency at Gibney. Reeves’ multidisciplinary practice continues to explore the intersection of dance, visual art, storytelling, and community.
