Kira Anderson

Originally from NJ, received her ballet training from several institutions including Manhattan Youth Ballet and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at ABT.

She’s also received private training from Galina Gladkova and Marina Stavitskaya. Kira started her professional career with BalletMet as a second company member, under the direction of Edwaard Liang, before joining Alberta Ballet. Her most memorable productions with Alberta Ballet have been George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, Helen Pickett’s Petal, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Botero, and Loughlan Prior’s Hansel & Gretel. After six seasons, she’s returned home to New York City and can be found helping dancers as a pointe shoe fitting specialist with Gaynor Minden.
