Lauren Evans

Lauren Evans is originally from Sacramento, California.

She received her early dance training at Deane Dance Center under the tutelage of Barbara Crockett, and went on to graduate from UC Irvine with a BA in Dance and a BS in Biological Sciences.

During her time at UCI, she trained with faculty Molly Lynch, Tong Wang, Vitor Luiz, Lar Lubovitch, and Katarzyna Skarpetowska, and was honored to receive the Beth L. Koehler Scholarship and the William J. Gillespie Foundation Scholarship.

She expanded her training at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet summer program on a scholarship, as well as the American Ballet Theatre and Complexions Contemporary Ballet summer programs. She was chosen to participate in SALT Contemporary Dance’s LINK Festival, where she performed works by Tiare Keeno and Courtney Mazeika.

Post college, she had the opportunity to teach and choreograph at the School of Sacramento Ballet and other local Sacramento studios, and found a deep passion for teaching alongside her love of performing.

Currently, Lauren is dancing her first season with VISIONS Contemporary Ballet and is very excited to continue her career in New York City.
